Home for a Refugee is Devi Mohan’s intimate and rousing account of her heart’s journey Home to divine unionwith her beloved Guru and husband, Mohanji.

As a refugee amid the horrors and agonies of the Yugoslav wars, and through the dramatic swings of life thereafter, Devi charts her own path with incredible determination and resilience, using her intuition as a guiding light.

Home for a Refugee is about celebrating life, finding joy in the darkest of moments, and stepping bravely out from the shadows of victimhood to serve as a beacon of Divine Light. Every moment in this memoir of transformation blossoms into an artful lesson, a healing, a casual miracle, or a subtle awakening.

Devi Mohan invites readers to join her through multitudes of mystical and miraculous experiences (including dark night of the soul, near-death experience, astral projection and states of samadhi) and share in the blessings on her path to the One. Allow yourself to be deeply touched by her message of peace and unity and her expressions of feminine vulnerability and purest love.

Devi Mohan is a mother, humanitarian, spiritual diplomat, proponent of traditional yoga, and instrument of healing, but at the heart of Devi is Mohan - her life partner and ultimate spiritual guide. Her very name is the epitome of the Unity her life was meant to serve.

Words fail to explain what this book means to me and what I have felt while reading it.
Devi has opened her heart fully and shared her most intimate journey with such purity, honesty, and strength.

It surely is very difficult to be "naked" and bring your most vulnerable moments out to the world with so much dignity.

It happened twice after completing reading a portion of the book that I became extremely hungry. I was so hungry that I could not resist eating anything that was in front of me. This is a unique way in which my body responds to huge energy shifts and cleansing. In the past, this has only happened to me after I attended a very powerful session of Mai-Tri Method.

Along with this, I also noticed subtle changes in me, such as my ability to go deeper within and have truthful conversations about myself.

I was aware of most of Devi's experiences from the second half of the book, as she had shared a lot of that with us during her visit to Toronto in 2018.

What blew my mind was her initial refugee years, which I knew nothing about. I find it fascinating to learn that Devi had such a difficult journey, but I have always seen her joyful and with a smile on her face.
I also want to share something very special.

I had a dream in which Devi visited me, and she said "Pooja" so joyfully and hugged me. The next morning, I messaged Devi telling her about her visit to me and hugging me. Devi replied back, "I finished my book yesterday. I was happy!"
I hope this book reaches the hearts of many, and inspires them to walk their own journey Home with courage, honesty, and purity, just like Devi. It sure did that for me.

This book, that i would otherwise never take the time to read, was a game-changer for me. It propelled me from a position of a victim into a position of the Creator, with the spark of the Divine within me; a shift of a paradigm.
Mohanji and Devi were crucially instrumental on the crossroads of my life. Specifically Devi, as a representation of the sacred feminine energy of openess, vulnerability and unconditional love, helped me in the most challenging times of my life. She acted as a portal to my own inner universe of power, creation and Light. Forever grateful. 🙏🙏🙏

Opinia napisana w Stanach Zjednoczonych dnia 22 marca 2023
Whomever is sincerely searching for answers on the questions:" Who am I, why I am here and where am I going?" then this book will be Your guidemap. A real spark of sacred fire will blow your mind away and through reading her experiences she will heatup the volcano of Purity in our hearts and many times spontaneously tears were spontaneously flowed down my cheeks. For me she is a divine mother who guides those who are ready to come back home, a home far away from this world of pretensions.
