Amazon Kendra is an intelligent search service powered by machine learning, enabling organizations to provide relevant information to customers and employees, when they need it. Starting today, AWS customers can use the new Amazon Kendra Google Drive Connector to index and search documents from Google Drive.

Critical information can be scattered across multiple data sources in an enterprise, including document storage platforms like Google Drive. Amazon Kendra customers can now use the Kendra Google Drive Connector to index content in documents and their comments. Users can search for answers to their questions accurately and quickly across this content using Kendra Intelligent Search. In addition to supporting HTML, PDF, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and plain text, the connector also supports Google Docs, Google Presentations, and Google Forms as document types. This connector supports full and incremental sync. The connector helps to index documents and their access control information to limit the search results to only those documents the user is allowed to access. To show the search results based on user access rights and using only the user information, the connector provides an identity crawler to load principal information, such as user and group mappings, automatically into the Principal Store.

The Amazon Kendra Google Drive connector is available in all AWS regions where Amazon Kendra is available. To learn more about the connector, visit the documentation page or the Amazon Kendra connector library. To explore Amazon Kendra, visit the Amazon Kendra website.
