The Coletrain Twins #1

Miss Apprehended

Rate this book
I’ve got ninety-nine problems and all of them begin and end with the Coletrain twins.

Especially Millie Coletrain.

I don’t know whether to kiss her or spank her.

Either way, she’s mine.

Warning: This is an erotic novella with laugh-out-loud ridiculousness, insta-love, a smart-mouthed heroine, and an over-the-top alpha bail bondsman.

Oh my goodness y'all- Millie & Jake had me cracking up right from the beginning!!

Jake's job was to catch Tillie and bring her in because she missed her court date but what he didn't realize is that she had a twin sister. Right from their first encounter Jake and Millie were at each others throat and I couldn't get enough of them! The constant banter and naughtiness had my kindle burning up. Have some cold drinks near you and make sure you read it when you're alone because you'll be blushing like I was!!

This was an easy, fast but packed-😉- read and I can't wait for Tillie's story because I know that will be a wild ride! Kara~ 4.5 Stars

Miss Apprehended is the first of the Coletrain Twins duet, and it’s a fun little read. In truth, this is a story where I was conflicted about my rating. It’s more of a three-point-five-star read, where I almost rounded my rating up, but I couldn’t quite bring myself to do so.

The story sucks you in right away, ensuring you’re happy to power through the story. There are plenty of moments to make you smile, and you’ll be eager to see the characters get their happily ever after. As fun as it was, I have issues with instalove. I know many adore it, but I much prefer a slow burn over falling in love in under twenty-four hours. It’s too much for me, and I would have liked to see events take more time to develop. For a short story, though, it was perfectly fine.

All in all, a fun little read that has me curious to see what happens with the other sister.

I'm already familiar with Miranda Elaine and Amie Knight and love their books. So I was really excited about this novella when I heard about it. It was one I read in one sitting. It was a chance I took though, because I'm not a huge fan of instalove and the erotic part of the book can be a too much for me at times.

I did enjoy reading about Millie and Jake. They had me laughing out loud and I loved the adventure they had together in this novella. I was right though and at times it was a bit too much for me. I definitely see why a lot of readers loved every moment of Miss Apprehended!

These writers definitely are a match when writing a book together. Their styles fit together.

5 Star Review of Miss Apprehended by Miranda Elaine & Amie Knight

Both Miranda Elaine and Amie Knight are relatively new to me. Miss Apprehended is the first book about the Coltrain twins and is Millie and Jake Blackwood’s story and it was a fun and entertaining read.

Millie and Tillie may be twins but they could not be more different. Millie always tries to be good, while Tillie leans towards the more illegal side of life. It is this in fact that has Millie and bounty hunter Jake meeting when he apprehends Millie, thinking it is Tillie. Jake think that capturing Tillie is going to be an easy job, however he truly underestimates the Coltrain twins.

I had so many laugh out loud moments reading this book that my husband thought I was going crazy. Although this is a novella the authors managed to draw me in and had me hooked on the story they wove. Not only was it funny and romantic, it was also steamy and the chemistry between them sizzles.

This book left me with a smile on my face and I cannot wait to see what the authors have in store for Tillie.

What a fun novella! If you want something fast and quirky to make you laugh out loud, look no further! Miss Apprehended was the first book in Miranda & Amie’s Coletrain Twins Series. It was instant attraction and full of steam!

Millie was making Jake’s life absolutely difficult. But for some reason, he was becoming addicted to her craziness. Would he end up getting more than he bargained for?

I am not always a fan of instant attraction, but this one hit the spot! Jake and Millie kept me guessing. Can’t wait to see what happens next!!

5 SMOOCHES!

Miss Apprehended, a sexy romantic comedy collaboration from Miranda Elaine and Amie Knight, was so funny! Heavy on the heat and humor, and I absolutely loved this novella! If this kind of laugh-out-loud humor is what we can expect from these authors, I’m looking forward to more from them.

It may have been a case of mistaken identity that brought Jake and Millie together, but there was no mistaking the attraction between them! Jake and Millie were so funny together with their bantering and bickering. I loved Millie, a sweetly naive and slightly oblivious wanna-be pop star. Jake was singularly focused on Millie from the moment she hit his radar. He was an alpha male who knew exactly what he wanted, and Jake wanted Millie.

Miss Apprehended was so much fun! I devoured this book quickly, and I'm looking forward to more collaborations from Miranda Elaine and Amie Knight!!  Five smooches from me!

Amazon / Amazon Worldwide / Amazon Paperback

Millie knows tonight is going to be her big break, on her way to being America's next pop princess. But then Jake happens to her. Jake, the bounty hunter looking to bring in her twin sister and mistakes her for Tillie. Kidnapping her and keeping her at his house is totally normal right? To use her as bait to bring her sister in. Normal right?

Well, I guess normal if the man has fallen head over heels in love with her upon first glance, and wants to keep her, regardless of whether it will bring her sister out of hiding.
"Tonight's turned out to be a good night after all. I'll take Millie home and make her think that, if she can get Tillie to turn herself in, I'll let her go. Only that's not happening.
Because I'm keeping Millie. She's mine."
For a short bit of insta-love, this is a lot of fun. It's super sexy, hilarious and sweet. It's not particularly deep or substantial, but it's so much fun that I didn't really care too much. I do prefer well-developed stories of love, though, so that's why I took half a star off. But other than that, I enjoyed the heck out of Millie and Jake's story.

I haven't read Miranda Elaine before this duet but I've read or listened to nearly all Amie Knight's novels. This one is a bit different than her usual sweet and sexy, heart-tugging emotional books. So I get her going in with another author and giving us some really quirky characters with a whole lot of sex appeal! Miss Apprehended was just what is needed in this time of crazy, world upheavel. These authors give us a humorous escape. The story is just plain delightful... it's funny and quirky, and it is sexy as all get out!

Really with characters named Millie and Tillie, it couldn't be anything more than amazing! Tillie might be the troublesome twin but Millie brings out the animal in Jake. I'm a huge fan of instalove, if it's done right, and these authors did a superb job! The chemistry was so perfectly executed. Millie and Jake just had this instant lure. Jake might have had the wrong girl but he was keeping her! I totally recommend this endearing novella... it's a perfect escape from the stuck-in-the-house boredom!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

Have you ever been so excited that you read a book that you did a little happy dance in your kitchen? That was so me after reading Miss Apprehended, Book 1 in Amie Knight and Miranda Elaine’s - The Coletrain Twins Duet.

This book was everything that I didn’t even know I needed! It’s got a sassy, silly heroine - Millie. She is so sweet and spunky, she will have you both laughing and sighing as you read the craziness that is her life. Then there’s Jake - hold my Kindle while I kiss my next book boyfriend - he puts the “A“ in Alpha and his growly, sexy, possessive self, is the perfect match for Millie.

They fall hard, they fall fast and it is HOT. You’re going to breeze through this book in one sitting and want to TBR Book 2 Miss Understood as ASAP as possible! Trust me when I say that you NEED this series in your life! TBR and Enjoy!!!!

4.5 Stars for Miss Apprehended
Miss Apprehended is the first novella in the Coletrain Twins and its the perfect book to escape with, it’s fun, entertaining and filled with love and humour. I loved everything about read....
Millie and Tillie may be twins but they are like chalk and cheese, Tillie is a kinda criminal whilst Millie is always trying to do the right thing in everybody’s lives. Jake is a bounty hunter who mistakes Millie for Tillie and that’s when the fun and games begin. The chemistry is sizzling, the attraction is instant and the banter is hilarious, oh and let’s not forget just how hot Jake is .....
A perfect romantic comedy with characters I adored, a story I loved and all that’s left for me to say is please one click this little gem because it’s a must read. Can’t wait for Tillie’s story.

MISS APPREHENDED is an ideal book to read if you are ready to escape the present worrisome and turbulent world we now live in. It is a Novella filled with fun, humor, & instant-love, which also leads to a very hot love affair.

This is the story of Millie Coletrain the questionable “good” girl of the Coletrain twins. Her sister, Tillie, being the one they call the Wild Thing. They look & are identical twins. It was easy to understand how Jake Blackwood, bail bondsman, would think he had finally caught up with the elusive Tillie.

But even when he finds he has apprehended the wrong Coletrain twin, he decides to keep her and make her his own. Also using her for bait to finally capture the “Wild Thing” at last. Luckily for Jake, Millie is hit hard with immediate Stockholm Syndrome, and goes along with his crazy plan. Jake might be the alpha male who thinks he can capture and tame these free spirited girls, but he will soon find out, even he will have trouble holding on. He does love the chase, and you will enjoy reading who captures who and never letting go.

Miss Apprehended by Miranda Elaine & Amie Knight is a quick, steamy and fun erotic read. Millie Coletrain has plans and being arrested is not one them. But when bounty hunter Jake mistakes her for her twin, what’s a girl to do? Jake and Mille had steamy, sexy chemistry that neither could deny, but did Jake want her or just to capture her sister? The story will have you laughing and entertained!

If you need a short break from the world around you, this funny, sassy, holy-hades-hot book is the perfect read. It's instalove with a heavy-handed, hunky bounty hunter and a cheeky heroine trying to find herself. With an epic case of mistaken identity, this one is snarky, cheeky, and filled with smexy scenes. Don’t read it in public if you blush easily, but don’t miss this fun, fantastic, quick read.

Oooh this novella was AWESOME!
I got an ARC of it and I'm still so happy about it! (THANK YOU Amie Knight!)
Miss Apprehended is the first novella of the Coletrain Twins and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!
Millie and Tillie Coletrain are twins and didn't have a really great childhood. While Millie tries to do something important in her life, Tillie is more kind of a criminal.
That's how Jake Blackwood meets his soulmate Millie. He thinks he finally got Tillie and can put her into jail... but nope! It's Millie!
Oops!
Well Jake and Millie have got this special connection and chemistry right from the start! DAMN! I got goose bumps everywhere because I could totally feel it through my kindle! LOL
This novella was such a funny, romantic and ABSOLUTELY HOT story! AWESOME!
Can't wait to start the second novella about Tillie now! :)

With moments of complete laugh out loud hysterics and others with heart stopping romance this was truly entertaining. Jake has a job to. He needs to capture Tillie and bring her in to grab his reward for capture. What should have been an easy job turns into so much more when he captures her twin sister Millie. The story only gets better when a spark between the two comes to the surface. Totally entertaining.

ELEVENTY BILLION STARS FOR MISS APPREHENDED!!!!!!!!!!!
I laughed, swooned, and fanned my way through this fast paced, alpha filled, hilarious, and steamy little read. Miss Aprehended was a quick, fulfilling, and phenomenally enjoyable read that had me laughing out loud and blushing on every single page. The antics of Millie and Jake had me loving those two something fierce, and had me eating up every bit of what I got with them while reading this story. This story was equal parts laugh out loud funny, heart meltingly sweet, and over the top in the best way that will have your heart feeling on fire in more ways than one. Amie Knight and Miranda Elaine completely create a fast paced and well written read that delivers in every single way possible.

From the very first page of this story I was completely swept up into everything that Jake and Millie were sharing. With a story premise that had me needing to know what would happen next, and a serious amount of spark and connection between these two characters, Jail House Rock delivers a story that is fun, steamy, and downright consuming in the most authentic way. Through every turn of that page I got more of Millie's fire and sweetness, I got more of Jake's protective and heart melting self, and I got more of all that those two share together. With the best dose of unforgettable personality and charm, those two found themselves in my heart lickity split, and I loved every single word of this story with them. Their feelings were very real, very insta-love, and very heated to say the least, and that combined to make one helluva story.

Amie Knight and Miranda Elaine’s fantastic writing gives you so much with these two. The charm and vibrancy they add into every word and page of this book will have your cheeks hurting because you're laughing and smiling so hard. I could not get enough of what this writing duo was giving me in this story, and I'm already counting down the days until I can get more of their words! Their writing perfectly balanced a quick paced story full of some serious intst-love, while also giving me some serious feels, spark, and some truly mesmerizing moments, and I really can't say enough how much I loved that!

If you are looking for a well written, consuming, and all-around enjoyable read, then you need to run yourself to this book this very second. It was fun, full of charm and so much humor, and it gave one helluva love story with some serious heat, and I truly can't say enough how much I loved it! Miss Apprehended is was insta-love, fast paced stories are made of, and it is a book I know you will love to pieces!

So with this book I’m fighting with myself on what the rating would be it’s in between a 3.5 and a 4. It is a funny book, a refreshing thing from all the violent harem books I read with killing and criminals and what not. It was different in some ways because it was a short small town romance. I loved both characters, Millie and Jake, they are cute together. What I didn’t like about it was how fast the story moved on from them meeting in one chapter to them being together in the next all in the same day. I mean there may be such a thing as love at first sight, something I didn’t find lmfao, but it seems too rushed to me. I would have loved to hear a bit more of backstories of both characters. It also would have been a bit better to hear them date for like a week then be together. I don’t know, I just felt it was lacking somewhere. Given that, it was a cute story. Meeting Millie and Jake and Millies twin sister Tillie. I just gotta say I’m excited to read Tillie’s story in the next book. I’m guessing it is going to show a broader perspective on her and why she is the way she is. I’m also excited to know the man that caught her eye. I’m hoping and guessing that it’s Jake’s cop friend. Thanks for a great read Miranda and Amie.

A novella that packs a lot of steam and zany times between the pages.

Miss Apprehended is a quick read with instalove between Jake and Millie and lots of crazy antics between all of the characters. What comes across as a flighty Millie and an overbearing alpha Jake really are just two people who need each other in the grand scheme of things. While Millie could use a firm hand to calm some of her flighty ways, Jake could also use a little crazy to mix up his otherwise boring bounty hunter life.

While Miss Apprehended seems a bit over the top at times, it is just the right antidote when I've been reading a lot of heavy lately. So if you like a crazy, quick read then this book is right up your alley.

This is an ARC review. All opinions are solely my own.

Miss Apprehended by Amie Knight and Miranda Elaine is book 1 of the re-released Coletrain Twins series. I really wanted to like this book more. It had great potential. As I was reding this book i felt like key pieces of the story were missing. I also made a note, " that was the whole book?" I'm all for a quick and easy read. I'm all for hot and sexy times happening quickly. I'm all for some hotter and sexier times happening a lot. The Britney worshiping was hilarious.

Here's what was not believable:
1. The mistaken identity turned into an immediate sexual encounter.
2. Millie Coletrain, as a 24 year old, would not have had an immediate sexual encounter.
3. This man is a professional bounty hunter.

If you want a quick and sexy read that is not at all believable then this is the book for you. I was disappointed since I really like Amie Knight's work.

Miss Apprehended by Amie Knight and Miranda Elaine is a wiity and fun, scorching, nsfw, novella. It's the first novella in the Coltrain series and tells Millie and Jake's story.
Millie Coltrain is an aspiring singer and the good twin in her family. Her life is about to change when a bail bondsman, again, thinks she's her sister Tillie and takes her with him.
It takes a strong woman to bring a man to his knees, they say. And Jake Blackwood is about to learn an important lesson. It takes him one look and he knows she's the one.
Miss Apprehended is an entertaining read, well written and beautifully told, 4,5 stars.

Awe!
I really enjoyed this novella. Sometimes you just need a quick romance read.
Jake and Millie meet when he confuses her for her twin sister. He hauls her out of the bar caveman style and brings her to his house where he handcuffs her. This is AFTER he already knows she is not her sister. Good thing it makes her hot since he knows he is never letting her go.
Millie is a bit kooky, but I loved her loyalty to her sister. Jake is a perfect alpha male character.
Great story!

Miranda Elaine write something awesome stories!

Miss Apprehended by Miranda Elaine and Amie Knight
4.5/5 ⭐️

Miss Apprehend is a quick, funny, instant-love novella between Jake and Millie. They meet thanks Tillie (Millie’s twin sister) and ever since then it’s been a fun ride with intense chemistry. Though I’m not huge fan of instant, I really enjoyed it. It hooks you right from the very beginning. It’s funny, romantic, sexy and steamy!

I highly recommend it, specially if you’re looking to get out of a book slump or if you need something light and fun after reading a heavy book.

Thanks to Social Butterlfly, Amy Knight and Miranda Elaine for the ARC! 😘❤️

Millie is trying to overcome her family’s reputation, but she never knew that being mistaken for her twin and handcuffed to the bounty hunter’s bed could be so much fun. When Jake realizes that she isn’t his quarry he believes that she may be the best person to lead him to her sister and now that he has her he isn’t about to let her go.

Fun and flirty this story is equal parts heat and humor and I am looking forward to Tillie’s story.

I do want to thank Soical Butterfly 🦋 PR for gifting me this arc to read. This is my first time reading anything by this author.

I am a fan of romance and the very hot and seamy erotica romance. However I just could not get behind this book one bit. It literally started off like the beginning of 365 except Jake is a bounty hunter and not a mobster. But I couldn’t get behind the whole instant love scenario and I felt there was no storyline or plot. One can only read the word p#ssy so many times before u get a sick feeling.

I’m sorry I think this like my first ever bad review on a book.
